What are your best burning dinner candles and are they dripless?

Our best selling and arguably best burning dinner candles are made by Colonial Candle.  They have been making candles since the early 1900's and have perfected the art of candle making.  These candles are solid throughout.  Some candles just have a color over a white base.  Not Colonial!  They are long lasting burning about 1 inch per hour.  As far as dripping is concerned, Colonial produces a virtually drip free candle.  What this means is that under ideal conditions they will not drip.  What makes a quality candle drip? Drafts! What happens is the draft causes the candle to burn too fast so it does not have time to consume the melted wax. It is not recommended to place candles near heat/ac vents, ceiling fans, open windows and high traffic areas.  This will occur with any lit candle including beeswax and bayberry tapers.

Many candle lovers like to use candles everyday, especially at dinner and have found that bobeches are a great way to keep drips under control.  These wax catchers are made of crystal or glass and fit on the top of the candlestick holder.  They are relatively inexpensive, very easy to use and come in a variety of designs.
